Cydney-Elise

Poet Cydney-Elise was born into a family of writers. Her mother is a Children’s Book author and her father a screenwriter.  She was a gymnast for 15 years and has two siblings. She struggled through plenty of adversity in her life and poetry has now become her greatest form of expression. 

Journey Unseen is Cydney-Elise’s first chapbook.  It is a glance into her life through her lens. This chapbook is composed of 30 poems divided  into 3 sections. The first poetry section is called Reasons and it defines why she writes. The second poetry section is called Connections, which divulges and sheds light on various relationships in her life. The last section is called Growth which is pretty self explanatory. 

This poetry chapbook brings to the surface topics that are relevant in today’s society. Depression, love, growth and pain are all things that people from all walks of life experience. Cydney-Elise’s goal with Journey Unseen is to share her own personal experiences in order to help others get through similar hardships. Journey unseen is raw and uncut, please be kind for this is but a piece of her mind.
